Plundering the Arameans

15 Then they went after them to the Jordan, and behold, all the way was full of clothes and equipment which the Arameans had thrown away in their haste. Then the messengers returned and told the king.

16 So the people went out and plundered the camp of the Arameans. Then a [a]seah of fine flour was sold for a shekel and two [b]seahs of barley for a shekel, (A)according to the word of Yahweh. 17 Now the king appointed (B)the royal officer on whose hand he leaned [c]to have charge of the gate; but the people trampled on him at the gate, and he died just as the man of God had spoken, (C)who spoke when the king came down to him.
